O: Exercised for 8 laps. Bucket cleaned and replaced water. Picked up 1 cast. Dropped 209g rat, chick, and venison bone. Picked up 172g scrap.

A: Came in right after heavy rain - water-proofing looks good from a distance. Flight is symmetrical and fairly quiet. Flew between perches well and landed clinging to the roof only about half of the time. Did not eat much overnight, but the only food item offered last night was a big bony chunk of venison so maybe they're not into that or still acclimating to new space.

Monitored bumpers, reapplied tape to the R side to keep bumper from sliding, as it looked like the bumper was being picked at.

A: BAR. Scab on shoulder is very thick and "jerky"-like. Covering with duoderm for a few days may help soften it up enough to where is can be debrided without excessive bleeding

O: Collected fecal sample. Checked shoulder wounds - R side seems resolved. L side ventral patagial tendon has adhered greenish scabbing. Very dry, cleaned w chlorhex and applied TAO. Left w/o bandaging. Found slight carpal scabbing on both wings. Cleaned w chlorhex and applied carpal bumpers (gauze + Ioban dressing).

A: BAR. L rub wound seems to have finished expanding. Less clear line of delineation b/w scabbing and surrounding healthy tissue. Scabbing is a bit green but is quite adhered - debride after it has had a chance to soften w topical applications. Carpal wounds superficial. Pt is very active in cage but not yet ready to move outside due to need to monitor shoulder injury.

P: Monitor L rub wound and reapply topical PRN. Monitor carpal bumpers and reapply PRN. Discontinue meloxicam.

No bruising or wounds around neck other than what is over shoulders. No bruising or wounds over abdomen. Abdomen covered with unabsorbed SQ fluids. Forgot to check L TMT. Gave meds. Did not give SQ fluids since didn't absorbe yesterdays. Move to cage in main bird room.

A: Most of constriction areas are just bruised and don't seem to be scabbing. Most concerning area is still the L shoulder, which now has a thin line of scab surrounded by pale tissue that looks like it may die off further. Didn't absorbe SQ fluids but temp is more stable.

P: Monitor absorption of SQ fluids. Discontinue SQ fluids. Increase food to full amount.

Legs: L TMT swollen

Initial treatment: 0.93cc meloxicam + 0.42 pentoxifylline + 60cc LRS SQ in R inguinal. Placed in cage in CC room. Dropped 1 chx.

A: Early stage constriction/rope burn wounds around neck, abdomen, L TMT, and both shoulders. Most concerning spot is currently over dorsal L shoulder, where a section of tissue is already very pale. Too early to tell how much tissue will end up dying off.

P: Rx 3d SQ fluids. Rx meloxicam. Rx pentoxifyline. Collect blood and fecal tomorrow. Monitor all rub wounds for tissue die off. Monitor rest of bird for development of new wounds. SF in PM, HF in AM if DNE starting 4/30
